Roses and Rainbows

Roses and Rainbows
Sam heard the door chime. “Coming,” he shouted from the kitchen, setting down the chard he’d been order to chop. Rainbow chard -- the third night in a row. He was even starting to hate rainbow sherbet. God, he hoped there were no other rainbow foods.
Sam wiped his hands on his pants and opened the door.
“A delivery, sir.”
Sam stared at the bouquet of flowers: red, orange, yellow, blue, purple, and green. Each flower a different vibrant shade. A note was attached to the purple rose.
Remember, brat, I can buy more rainbow chard instead of rainbow flowers. Behave!
